This is a shout out to JL Audio for building what we call here at CAR Audio & Security, “The Breadbox”. The CP108LG-W3V3 is a ported enclosure with an 8” W3 subwoofer. This has been a great enclosure for several different vehicles over the last few months since it was released. It measures 5.25” D(with the grill) x 11”H x 18.625W and will handle up to 250 watts continuously. We have for the first time been able to add a subwoofer for narrow spaced trucks without using a Stealthbox or custom built box which lowers the cost considerably for the customer.
Look at the picture and you will see it is a beautiful enclosure, labeled with JL Audio’s logo and because it was built by JL Audio, comes with a 2 year warranty as opposed to a 1 year warranty typical with just a subwoofer. We recommend this enclosure and subwoofer for smaller vehicles such as trucks, hatchbacks and smaller station wagons. This subwoofer enclosure is built to add quality, low level sound to your system but not to rattle the cages. Therefore, it may not be what some people are looking for but that is why we have it on display for your testing pleasure.
And just when you think that is great and you’re ready to finish your blog entry, JL Audio turns around and improves it. They now have the CP208LG-W3V3. A dual ported enclosure with 2, 8” W3V3s and constructed by JL Audio still giving a 2 year warranty. It’s doubly cute and doubly powerful. It measures 35.5”W x 5.125”D x 11”H.
Whoa. Now if I can only convince JL Audio to “girl” it up a bit. I think a pink JL Audio logo would do it. Lucio.. Manville.. anybody?
